Dave asked if anyone knew anything else about other trails good or bad.  Jack Holiday stated there is no trail to get out of town, north towards Pine Lake.  He suggested that we make sure we get London Bridge Road approved for snowmobile use. Dave brought up the ballpark trail and asking Mr. Abdella for permission to once again use the trail.  Dave wanted the thoughts of the members of the club.  It was decided that it was worth a try.  Bob Woods had written a letter that Dave will have Stephanie revise and we will send to Mr. Abdella.  Dave stated we also need to redo our trail agreement with National Grid as the information is 10 years old. Dave gave Stephanie some maps to email to National Grid for approval.  Stephanie stated she had someone that would give us hay for the trails in exchange for a membership.  Jack Holiday brought up that we better check with the DEC before using hay as it may not be allowed in the APA .

Accessory- Shelly stated she still has hoodies, sweatshirts and hats.   Anyone interested in ordering anything special please let Shelly know.

Communications and Bills – Tim stated we have a National Grid bill, lawyer bill and the sled to pay for. A motion was made to pay the bills

 Committee Report-

Club Building- more has been done, more batten has been hung by Dave and Harold.  Jack leveled off some more fill.

Sleds- the new sled is in and we need to asses the state of the other sleds and get them ready for the season.  Paul Pavlus explained that the new grooming snowmobile is a Skandik V-800 4 Stroke the club had put a deposit down on this sled back in September after the board of directors held a meeting.  The board of directors decided to approve the purchase of the snow machine at that time as the club had to make a decision quickly to get the dealer pricing.  Alpin Haus agreed to waive the prep fees and also give us a spare belt and plugs.  It was noted that a thank you note would be sent to Alpin Haus

Poker Run- Dave stated that the Poker Run will be Feb 14th with a rain date of Feb 28th, he asked for a volunteer to chair the poker run.  After the meeting was ended Ann Marie Walrath volunteered to over see the poker run.  Stephanie will order the Raffle Tickets from Price Chopper and it was decided we would use the same layout for the raffle tickets as last year and give away the same raffle prizes. Suzy noted that she thought the Royal Mountain Moonlighters would be holding a poker run possibly the week after ours.

Old Business- We did receive the final payment of last years grant money.  The total was $2707.50 this was the remaining 30% of the total amount the club received for grooming and maintaining trails. Tim explained that he deposited $2400 of this money into savings and $307 into checking. It was also explained that this money is called a grant but it is actually what the club gets reimbursed from the state for maintaining our permitted trails.  This money has nothing to do with the $14,000 grant the club will be receiving from the state for the purchase of new grooming and maintenance equipment.

New Business- The state is holding a trail signage training course at the Holiday Inn on Oct 29th at 6:30 pm Dave asked for volunteers from the club to attend.  Tim Wilder and Sue Hamalack and possibly Arnie Henry stated they would attend. Dave asked if the club is interested in holding another safety course and Burt Wilson stated he would be the instructor.  The dates picked were Dec 2,3,4 from 6-9pm we will check into hold the course at the firehouse.

Dave discussed that the state has a new insurance company to replace the Cool Agency, the new company is Family Financial Group.  This is the company that will be handling the landowner insurance policies.

Other Business-   The Ivancic’s did the audit of the clubs books.  John stated that the books are in good shape and balanced.  He also stated that the club should check into the NBT on line banking.  IT would be very easy to use this program and we would have everything in a ledger which would also help when the time comes to file taxes.  It was decided that the club would look into this.

Dave also stated that the club has received donations from The Bleecker Fish and Game and Sandy Sanders.  The club will send thank you notes.
