Old Business- The club is looking
to purchase chain saws and safety equipment but not with the grant
money. The grant we have was
approved for a groomer, sled and 4-wheeler.
After looking into trying to amend the grant so the club could
purchase the chain saws and equipment with the money we found there was
too much red tape therefore we would like to purchase the chain saws etc
with club money, Members of the club who have taken the chainsaw course
also need to take a course in first aid, CPR and Blood borne Pathogens.
Dave has checked with Ralph Palcovic about this and he is looking into
it. The club is pursuing the
purchase of a Yamaha Grizzly 700 with power steering. This purchase will
complete what we have to spend with our grant money. The club has also
applied for a grant from Yamaha to cover the cost of the power steering.
The town clean up day went well 4 members of the
club volunteered to help, Dave Briot, Tim Wilder, Stephanie and Bill
Knapp. Dave thanked those who helped.
New Business- Dave mentioned
Roberts Rules- that state only members of the club can participate in
club business at our meetings. If you are not a paid member you do not
have a voice in the meeting only members in good standing can vote on
club issues.
The club is looking to conduct a couple of our own
grooming classes, where anyone interested in grooming will get some
training and a grooming policy to sign. The trainer will also go over
accident reports and how to keep track of the trails and the machines.
The club is looking into putting up clip boards for each
snowmobile with various forms to be filled out for different things such
as accidents, maintenance or mechanical problems.
We have received our 30% payment from the county of $6857.50 as of today
